computer crashed

Please forgive my ignorance, I've been using media tracker lite which I installed after purchasing 4 century cd systems, I filled 2 and partially filled a 3rd with photographs on dvd's and cd's. My computer (mac using OS 10) suffered serious problems (motherboard and logic board) I've recovered all the data from the drives but cannot find the library with mediatracker lite database. Are you able to advise where this would be ? I installed from site ?
thank you Brian

Hello Brian,

Greetings from Digistore Solutions.

Apologize for the delay in respond.

I am sorry to hear about your encounter. If you require to install your MediaTRACKER Lite, you may download and install from our site at: http://www.centurion-cd.com/products/downloads/105 . Once that is done, you may still be able to copy your MediaTRACKER Library database under;

1) For Backup - copy the file from this path: Macintosh HD\Library\Application Support\DigistoreSolutions\MediaTRACKER\mt_library.mtc

2) For Restore - paste the mt_library.mtc file back into the same path where it is copied.
(*Disconnect your Centurion CD unit from your system before performing the Restore process)

 Best regards,

Ivan

Thank you for your response Ivan, the computer that crashed couldn't be saved, but we were able to get most of the data from the drive. I had to get a new system, and searched all over the recovered data for the database, to no avail.
I had to proceed the hard way, physically open the Century CD units (x3) to remove the discs and re-scan, then import them back into the storage units, seems to be ok, I sometimes get an error message saying that the machine cannot rotate the carousel, but I've found that a judicious shake at the right time will get it spinning again.
It was a bit of a pain to do, but I've now got a shiny new database.
Thank you again, cheers Brian

Hello Brian,

Greetings from Digistore Solutions.

The issue you are encountering with the message, saying the carousel the cannot rotate, may be due to that the ejecting hammer was caught within the carousel slot.

I would suggest if that happen again, look into the slot through the mailslot, observe if it is indeed the hammer that have cause this issue here. If yes, you may either use a thin rule to gently push the ejecting hammer back to its lowered position or a light tap on the side of the organizer unit like what you had done.

By the way, could you advise if your organizer unit is still within the warranty period of 12 months and what version of the Mac OS 10 you are presently using?

Best regards,

Ivan

Hi Ivan, thank you for the info, that sounds quite logical, I'll try it. The Organiser unit was purchased on Nov 13th 2008, and the OS I'm now using is OS 10.5.7 on a quadcore Intel Mac Pro.
Thank you Brian.

2) It will be great if you can send us some screenshots on your present working mode with the MediaTRACKER library menu and the "Connected Organizers...".

Looking forward to hear from you again.
